ABOUT US

What is BaseCamp305? 

BaseCamp305 is an innovative, small private school in the South of Fifth Street neighborhood in Miami Beach, focused on creating an environment where children love to learn. Key elements include project-based learning, S.T.E.A.M., exploratory and entrepreneurial experiences, high teacher/student ratio, early technology exposure, healthy lifestyle and nutrition, and fostering respect and kindness. 

What grades will BaseCamp305 have for the 2026–2027 school year? 

Pre-K through 6th grade. 

What about the rest of Middle School?

We will add one grade each year: 7th grade the following year, then 8th grade the year after.

What are the general class sizes at BaseCamp305? 

Pre-K through 2nd grade: 8 students per grade. 
Grades 3–8: 12–15 students per grade.

Will my child be considered for the invitation process if we do not live on Miami Beach? 

Yes, but BaseCamp305 prioritizes building a local community, primarily serving residents south of 30th Street.  

Do you provide food at BaseCamp?

Yes. BaseCamp provides a morning snack and lunch every day for all students. We have an in-house chef, and healthy eating is a big part of our school culture. We do not allow outside food on campus.

How can parents be at BaseCamp305? 

We do not have a formal PTA. Parents can participate through Seesaw, scheduled project events, and progress reports. Drop-off and pick-up times also provide opportunities to interact with teachers. 

Does BaseCamp305 have any political or religious affiliation?

No. BaseCamp305 has no political or religious affiliation. We believe family values and cultural or religious teachings are best shared at home.

ADMISSION & APPLICATION PROCESS

What is the process for applying to BaseCamp305?

All applications begin with submitting a contact form on our website. Admissions staff will follow up after the submission.

Does my child need to be fluent in English to attend BaseCamp305? 

Yes. Students must be proficient enough to fully participate in the invitation process and classroom activities. 

What happens for the rest of middle school & beyond? 

BaseCamp305 adds one grade per year. Currently 6th grade, next year 7th, the following year 8th, with potential plans for high school. 

TUITION, FEES & FINANCIAL INFORMATION 

What is tuition at BaseCamp305? 

Tuition for 2026–2027 will be between $30,000–$35,000 per year, covering meals and technology fees. Additional costs include uniforms and after-school activities. 

Does BaseCamp305 offer Financial Aid? 

No direct financial aid is offered. Families can apply for the Florida Step-Up Scholarship program and the Miami Beach Pre-K  Scholarship; BaseCamp305 is an approved provider.

Is there a tuition discount for multiple children attending BaseCamp305? 

There are no discounts for multiple enrollments. Families interested in financial aid can apply for the Florida Step-Up program. 

SCHOOL EXPERIENCE & STUDENT LIFE 

Does BaseCamp305 offer after-school activities? 

Yes. A variety of activities are offered every day.

What are the school day hours at BaseCamp305? 

Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–2:30 pm; after-school ends at 3:45 pm or 4:10 pm, depending on grade. 

What school calendar does BaseCamp305 align with? 

We generally follow the Miami-Dade County Public Schools calendar, with minor adjustments for teacher workdays and school-specific events. 

What does BaseCamp305 use for standardized testing? 

BaseCamp305 uses MAP Growth assessments starting in 2nd grade. Kindergarten and 1st grade use MAP Fluency assessments. All assessments are administered at least three times per year.

Does BaseCamp305 offer sports? 

Due to our small size, we do not currently offer competitive sports teams. We provide comprehensive PE programs for students. Families are encouraged to explore community leagues for additional opportunities. 

ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY 

What are BaseCamp305’s safety precautions?

BaseCamp305 prioritizes safety. Each campus has one off-duty Miami Beach police officer on-site during school hours who escorts students to larger play areas. The campus is gated and has cameras and security systems. 

Does BaseCamp305 provide transportation for its students?

No. Most families live within 5 miles of the school.
